Incentives

The State of Texas has various programs available for
grants for infrastructure and capital improvements. Some of those are:
Texas Enterprise Zone Program, Texas Capital Fund Program including
Infrastructure and Real Estate, Rural Municipal Finance Program, Texas
Leverage Fund and SBA 504 Loan Fund.
Tax Abatement -The New Boston Industrial Park is not
located in the city limits of New Boston. However, both the city of New
Boston and Bowie County have tax abatement policies in place ranging
form 90% abatement the first year to 10% abatement the tenth year. These
figures are based on a minimum of full time employees hired and the
value of improvements.
Enterprise Zone-The New Boston Industrial Park is
located in an enterprise zone. The county will consider 5-year 100%
county tax abatement on a case-by-case basis in the enterprise zone.
Land- New Boston Special Industrial Development
Corporation has prime Greenfield land at a value of $10,000 acre.
Grant money is available in a three year period,
beginning with the conclusion of construction, and %’s available at the
end of year 1, year 2 and in year three. (In order to qualify for these
incentives, a project must sign a Performance Agreement that will
require the creation and employment of semi-skilled and skilled
full-time personnel the first year, an average increase of personnel by
year three up to year five and a capital investment from the project.)
Sponsorship is available from NBSIDC for low cost
loans, grants and other assistance from the State of Texas. |
